Summer Job Opportunities
We have an excellent record for placing Physics majors in summer jobs both at CMU, at
other universities, government labs, and industrial labs. Our majors have access to an
electronic bulletin-board which has, in a typical week in the spring, over 20 listings.
Most students seeking summer technical employment, particularly in their sophomore
or junior years, find summer opportunities. Below are just a few examples of recent summer
internships our students have had.

We also provide our students with assistance finding post-graduation employment. See
our placement page for some examples of where our student have
gone.
Carnegie Mellon's Career Center
provides excellent guidance to our majors in their searches for summer or permanent
employment.
